The Raul Productions is a production company based in New York City recognized for its ability to do more with less. Through the imaginative combination of humor and sensitivity that characterizes its productions, the company seeks to celebrate the diversity of human experiences in this strange yet beautiful home we call Earth.

Director, cinematographer, editor, animator and designer, Raul Barcelona is the founder and one-man production crew behind the company. His work is often complimented by close collaborators, including composer/musician Mike Pettry, actor/comedian Mike Amato, producer/actress/singer Cassandra Hohn.

Raul holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master's degree in Digital Imaging and Design from New York University. His work as editor and motion graphics has been featured on PBS, Discovery Science Channel and Discovery Home Channel. As cinematographer, he recently collaborated in the upcoming film The Yes Men Fix the World, which premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and won the Audience Panorama Award at the 2009 Berlin Film Festival.

His feature film debut, The Promise of New York, documents the adventures of a blogger, a teacher and an obsessive political gadfly as they compete against each other and arch rival incumbent Michael Bloomberg for the post of New York City mayor. The film has already garnered awards in the film festival circuit and will be premiering in New York during the 2009 election season.

Raul is currently in production for his new feature film, which also takes place in New York City with a diverse cast of characters.
